The Tesro metal detectors are very light weight which makes for having more fun using them because they are not so heavy to carry around. The Tesro models of detectors are programmed on a low frequency of about 10 kHz, the low frequency makes them ideal for hunting.
The Minelab Company is based in Australia. Australia is a great place for using a metal detector. They have natural resources that would be fun to try to find, they have gold and other metals to de mine. The larger scale detectors are used by the military. The company manufactures these detectors in Australia, United States and Europe.
